As you know, we decided to suspend all of our weekly meetings, events and ministries, but we have also decided to now suspend our Sunday worship services due to the continual spread of COVID-19 and the latest recommendations from our government. We believe this is the best practice of the two gospel truths we discussed this past Sunday; God’s sovereignty and loving our neighbors.
We are planning on recording the sermon portion of our worship services and posting it on the church Facebook page and website (csbaptist.ca). Also, the deacons have each been given a list of church members/attenders that they will be checking in over the foreseeable future to make sure that you are being looked after. We recognize that these practices do not replace our normal church life, but we will try our best to continue to shepherd you through this time spiritually, emotionally and physically. If you can, I would also encourage you to continue to support the church financially through etransfer. If you have any questions regarding that, please contact me.
If you know of anyone that may “fall through the cracks” or someone who has any needs or just needs someone to talk to, please contact me or one of the deacons. Also, please be praying for those in Waterloo Village. Cornerstone has already made donations to two of the non-profits who provide meals for those in our neighborhood and I will continue to keep an ear open on how we can serve our community during this time.
We have several people in our church family who are not online, could you please pass this information onto any of those you can think of?
